Responsible Gaming
A book that's lasted sixteen years has watched thousands of players. The happy ones share a pattern, and it isn't winning — it's control. This page is the honest conversation about keeping it.
The rules that keep play fun
- Budget first, deposit second. Decide a monthly entertainment number while calm. That's the bankroll; it never refills mid-month.
- Small stakes, always. 2–5% of bankroll per bet. Anyone betting bigger is gambling on variance, not knowledge.
- Time limits beat money limits. Set session length before you start. Tired play is bad play, everywhere, every time.
- Never chase. A losing day ends the day. The market's opinion of you doesn't change overnight; your judgement does.
- Withdraw on schedule. Money withdrawn is the only real scoreboard. If you never withdraw, you're renting your wins.
- Betting is not income. The moment play becomes "earning", the mathematics start collecting. It's paid entertainment — price it like cinema tickets, not like salary.
Warning signs worth taking seriously
Betting money meant for essentials. Hiding play from family. Chasing losses "just to get even". Borrowing to deposit. Irritability when unable to play. Betting drunk or at 4 AM to feel something. One of these is a caution; two or more is a stop sign — and stopping early is a strength move, not a defeat.
Self-exclusion — one message, taken seriously
Tell the ID desk "close my ID" or "block me for X months" and it happens: your balance is settled to your UPI and the ID is locked for the period you name. The desk won't talk you out of it, won't offer a bonus to stay, and won't reopen a self-excluded ID early. That policy is deliberate and sixteen years old.
Free, confidential help in India
- iCall (TISS): 9152987821 — free psychosocial helpline, Mon–Sat, multiple languages.
- Vandrevala Foundation: 1860-2662-345 — 24×7 mental health helpline.
- NIMHANS helpline: 080-46110007 — includes behavioural addiction support.
Talking to any of them costs nothing and stays private. If play has stopped feeling like play, make the call before the next deposit — and use the self-exclusion above while you sort it out. The matches will still be there later; make sure you are too.
