Reddybook Real or Fake? Seven Checks Before You Pay Anyone

Search the name and you'll find dozens of look-alike sites, plus "agents" in every Telegram cricket group. Some are genuine resellers. Many are not, and the people they cheat often end up messaging us afterwards, asking for money we never received. This page exists so fewer of those messages get written.

Why there are so many fakes

A betting ID is an easy thing to counterfeit. There's no shop, no packaging, just a username and a WhatsApp chat. A scammer needs only a logo, a number, and a victim in a hurry before a big match. The name Reddybook is well known, so it gets borrowed the most. Popular brands attract fakes; that's true of watches and it's true here.

The seven checks

  1. How did you get the number? A number you tapped on an official site is one thing. A number that arrived in a DM, a comment, or a forwarded poster is another. Nearly every fraud story we hear starts with "someone messaged me".
  2. Were you asked for a fee to "activate" the ID? Real IDs have no registration fee. You deposit, and the full deposit shows as your balance. A fee that vanishes is the scam.
  3. Did the deposit appear in full, within minutes? Start with ₹100. If ₹100 doesn't show up properly, ₹10,000 won't either.
  4. Can you withdraw a small amount? This is the test that matters most. Before you play big, withdraw ₹500. A genuine desk pays it without a story. A fake one suddenly needs a "tax", a "verification deposit", or a minimum turnover nobody mentioned.
  5. Is anyone asking for an OTP, PIN, or screen-share? Nothing in betting needs any of those. This is plain bank fraud wearing a cricket jersey. End the chat.
  6. Are the offers absurd? "500% bonus", "guaranteed fixed match", "double your money by tonight". Nobody who could fix matches would sell the tip for ₹2,000 on Telegram.
  7. Does the login work on the real platform? Your ID should log in on the actual site, with live odds that move with the match. Fake panels often show frozen or made-up rates. Compare with the live score.

Already paid a fake? Do this today

  • Call 1930 or file at cybercrime.gov.in. Reports made within the first few hours have the best chance of freezing the money.
  • Tell your bank and ask them to raise a dispute against the UPI reference.
  • Save everything: chat, number, UPI ID, screenshots. Don't delete the chat in anger.
  • Don't pay a "recovery agent" who promises to get it back for a fee. That is the same scam, second round.

A fair word about risk

A genuine ID removes the fraud risk. It doesn't remove the betting risk. You can do everything right on this page and still lose money on a match, because that's what betting is. Decide your limit beforehand, read our responsible gaming notes, and if you're under 18 or betting is prohibited in your state, this isn't for you.

If you want to check a number or a site someone sent you, ask the desk. We'd rather answer that question a hundred times than hear the other story once. When you're ready, the signup page explains how an ID is created, and the deposit and withdrawal guide shows what a normal payment looks like.

Quick answers

Is Reddybook real or fake?

Reddybook is a real betting ID service, but the name is copied widely. Whether the ID you were offered is real depends entirely on who sold it to you, which is why the checks on this page matter more than the name.

How do I know a Reddybook WhatsApp number is genuine?

Reach it through the button on the official site rather than a number forwarded to you. A genuine desk never asks for an OTP, a UPI PIN, or a "registration fee" before creating an ID.

I paid a fake agent. Can I get the money back?

Sometimes. Report the transaction to your bank and on the national cybercrime portal (cybercrime.gov.in, helpline 1930) as quickly as you can. Speed is what makes a reversal possible.

Is online betting legal in India?

The law varies by state and has tightened in recent years. Several states prohibit it outright. Check the rules where you live before you play. This page is information, not legal advice.

Not Sure About a Number? Ask First.

Send it to the desk. Checking costs nothing; not checking can cost a lot.
